Voice Aerobics®: Whole-Body Approach to Voice Practice

Voice Aerobics® is a 50-minute class which couples voice practice with movement. It was developed as a 3-part program with focus on Posture, Breathing, and Voice. During each session of this 5-week series, Mary will focus on different aspects of speech production and interject some swallowing exercises. Time will be available at the conclusion of each class to respond to questions regarding motor speech and swallowing symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease. This class is appropriate for anyone with Parkinson’s or related diagnosis, and all exercises can be done seated.

Instructor:
Mary Spremulli, MA, CCC-SLP has been a healthcare provider for over 30 years, and currently holds a nursing license in Florida and Speech Language Pathology license in Florida, Ohio, and North Carolina. She is owner of Voice Aerobics, a speech-language pathology private practice located in Punta Gorda, Florida, and is also the creator of Voice Aerobics®, A Whole- Body Voice Strengthening Program along with a family of products blending the art and science of voice therapy into fun home-based practice. Her blog has been selected as one of the top 49 blogs about Parkinson’s disease, and she currently serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Neuro Challenge Foundation, Sarasota, Florida, and is a Clinical Consultant with Speech Vive, Speech Aid for Parkinson’s.
