This September, Parkinson SuperWalk will take place across over 20 communities in British Columbia. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for over 13,300 British Columbians living with Parkinson’s disease. Celebrating its 21st anniversary, the walk will be held on Sunday, September 11 at Douglas Park Recreation Centre. This event supports essential programs, including Parkinson’s-specific exercise programs and educational sessions, all funded through donations. Participants like PJ Burns, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s just over a year ago, and his wife, Kim, exemplify the community spirit that drives this fundraising effort.
