Running to Support Parkinson Society BC
31km for 31 Years
This year, for my 31st birthday on May 17th, I am hoping to celebrate it in a more meaningful way by raising awareness and donations for Parkinson Society BC.
To mark this milestone, I am challenging myself to run 31 kilometers along the Vancouver Seawall. This is the furthest distance I have ever attempted, and I’m doing it to support a cause that has become incredibly close to my heart.
Parkinson’s is a journey that requires immense resilience…
Parkinson’s is a journey that requires immense resilience—not just from those living with the diagnosis, but from the families and support systems surrounding them. I’ve seen firsthand the strength required to navigate these challenges, and I am running to honor that perseverance and support the thousands of families across British Columbia who are on this path.
I’ve chosen to support Parkinson Society British Columbia because they are a lifeline for the community. They provide the essential resources, support services, and research funding that help British Columbians living with Parkinson’s live their lives to the fullest.
The mental and physical grit required for those final kilometers of my run is a small tribute to the daily perseverance shown by the Parkinson’s community.
On May 17th, I’ll be joined by a crew of incredible friends who are running and cheering alongside me. I would be so grateful if you would consider a donation to my page.
Whether it’s $31 for my 31 years or any amount you feel moved to give, your contribution goes directly to the Society to fund research and provide a vital support system for families across the province.
Thank you for your love and your support!
