Running for my Dad and Parkinson Society BC
31k for 31 Years
On May 17th, I’ll be joined by a crew of incredible friends who are running and cheering alongside me. I would be so grateful if you would consider a donation to my page. Whether it’s $31 for my 31 years or any amount you feel moved to give, your contribution goes directly to the Society to fund research and provide a support system for families like mine.
Thank you for your love, your support, and for helping me run for my Dad.
This year, my 31st birthday on May 17th carries a much deeper meaning…
Last winter, my father was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Since then, I have seen firsthand how much strength and resilience it takes for a family to navigate the challenges that come with this diagnosis. I am running to honor his journey and to support the thousands of other families across British Columbia who are on this same path.
To mark my 31 years, I am challenging myself to run 31 kilometers along the Vancouver Seawall. This is the furthest distance I have ever attempted to run, and I know that the mental and physical grit required for those final kilometers is nothing compared to the daily perseverance shown by those living with Parkinson’s.
I’ve chosen to support Parkinson Society British Columbia because they are a lifeline for our community. They provide the essential resources, support services, and research funding that help people with Parkinson’s live their lives to the fullest.
