Parkinson’s, Mood and Motivation: Finding What Works for You

A Parkinson’s disease (PD) diagnosis can bring unexpected emotional challenges, including changes to one’s sense of self, grief over the loss of a former lifestyle, and questions about how to move forward. Join us for a meaningful conversation about well-being and mental health, particularly important during the holidays and winter months, with Parkinson Society British Columbia’s (PSBC’s) very own registered clinical counsellor and social worker, Corrina Masson. This webinar will explore the emotional impact of PD for both people living with the condition and their care partners. Corrina will share insights and practical ways to support our emotional well-being, navigate difficult feelings, and find ways to care for ourselves through life’s ups and downs.
We are also pleased to welcome Steven Yellen, author of Living Parkinson’s, a practical, research-informed guide that brings together strategies, expert insights, and real-life experiences from people living with Parkinson’s disease. Steven will share perspectives from his work and the book, offering ideas and reflections to help participants explore what living well with PD can look like for them, without losing sight of the individual experiences and challenges each person faces.
As a thank-you for registering, everyone who registers will be entered into a draw to win a copy of Living Parkinson’s! The book is also available through PSBC’s Lending Library, a benefit of membership.
This webinar is open to people with Parkinson’s and their carepartners.
