Virtual Event Virtual Event

Are you newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD)?

If you’ve been diagnosed within the past three years, join us for our virtual New Diagnosis Workshop Series this February!

Led by a team of experts from the UBC Centre for Brain Health Movement Disorder Clinic, including Dr. Jonathan Squires, Dr. Melissa Mackenzie, Michelle McCarthy (PT), Joanna Davis (NP), Elaine Book (SW), Yolanda Wang (RD), and Rosa Jafari (OT), this series is designed to help you better understand your diagnosis.

Each weekly session will focus on an important PD topic, followed by a 10-minute Q&A to address your questions.

Please note that separate registration is required for each session.

Session 4: Living Well with Parkinson’s – Joanna Davis, nurse practitioner, and Michelle McCarthy, neurophysiotherapist

Staying active is a key component of managing Parkinson’s disease and maintaining overall well-being. Joanna Davis and Michelle McCarthy will explore practical tips and effective strategies designed to help slow the progression of Parkinson’s symptoms. This session provides valuable insights to help you stay motivated, active, and in control of your health journey!
