November 26 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm PST

Virtual Event Virtual Event

Parkinson Society British Columbia recognizes that Parkinson’s disease affects not only those diagnosed but also their families and friends. This webinar series is designed to support caregivers by offering valuable information and tools to help manage the challenges and stress associated with caregiving.

We invite all caregivers to join this series and encourage participants to bring their questions, as each session will include time for Q&A and discussion.

Please note that separate registration is required for each session.

Session 3: Addressing Caregiver Needs: Burden, Burnout, and Support for Wellbeing – Tricia Wallace, counsellor

This webinar, led by Parkinson Society British Columbia’s counsellor Tricia Wallace, will focus on an often-overlooked aspect of caregiving: the caregiver’s own mental and emotional health. We will explore the signs of burnout, the impact of caregiving on personal identity and relationships, and effective strategies for managing grief and emotional stress. By addressing these critical areas, the session aims to equip caregivers with practical tools and support to maintain their well-being and resilience throughout their caregiving journey.
