Your spirit of giving is appreciated.

At Parkinson Society BC (PSBC), we rely on your support.

When you make a gift, you ensure that we can continue to fund support for those in need, education for healthcare professionals, a network of support groups across the province, innovative research, and more.

As 2024 comes to a close, Parkinson Society BC reflects on the meaningful progress made in care, advocacy, and support for those affected by Parkinson’s. This progress is only possible thanks to the generosity of supporters like you.

Our 2024 highlights include:

  • Improving Parkinson’s Care: Investing $2 million over five years to fund allied healthcare positions in speech, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and social work, enhancing care and easing healthcare system pressures.
  • Advancing Research: Providing $400,000 to innovative research projects, including stem cell therapy and studies on COVID-19 and anxiety in Parkinson’s.
  • Expanding Treatment Access: Advocated for and secured BC PharmaCare coverage for Vyalev, a vital 24-hour infusion therapy for advanced Parkinson’s.
  • Supporting Mental Health: Launched a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy program for individuals with Parkinson’s and their carepartners.
  • Building Awareness: Shared impactful stories through an awareness video campaign, fostering understanding and community support across the province.

With your help, we can continue building on these accomplishments and creating a brighter future for the Parkinson’s community. Thank you for your generosity.
