đź“Ť Locations across BC | đź—“ Time Commitment: 2-5 hrs/week

Parkinson SuperWalk is the largest fundraising event for Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC), taking place in communities across the country each September. With over 17,500 people living with Parkinson’s disease in BC, the funds and awareness raised through SuperWalk are critical to supporting programs, education, advocacy, and research.

We’re currently seeking Volunteer Walk Organizers to champion SuperWalk in select communities.


We are currently seeking volunteer support in the following communities:

  • Abbotsford
  • Maple Ridge / Pitt Meadows
  • Surrey / White Rock
  • Vernon

What You’ll Do:
Depending on your role and interest, you may help with:

  • Planning and coordinating the local walk event
  • Securing a venue and safe walk route
  • Recruiting and managing volunteers
  • Organizing registration and check-in logistics
  • Reaching out to local sponsors or media
  • Promoting the event in your community
  • Coordinating day-of activities and creating a welcoming, supportive environment

Time Commitment:
Flexible depending on the community and anticipated attendance size, with most organizers contributing 2–5 hours/week from March to mid-September. Zoom information sessions and ongoing support are provided to organizers by Parkinson Society BC.

Who You Are:

  • A reliable and organized individual (or group!) passionate about supporting the Parkinson’s community
  • A great communicator who enjoys working with others
  • Comfortable working independently with support from the PSBC team
  • No previous experience required—just heart and commitment!
