With help from members of the Parkinson’s community, as part of our 50th anniversary celebration, we have been working on producing a series of videos. These videos are intended to generate awareness of the Society’s programs and services, as well as the realities of life with Parkinson’s.
The first video in this series discusses the benefits of joining Parkinson’s-specific support groups. Parkinson Society British Columbia has a network of over 50 support groups to help people with Parkinson’s, their families, and carepartners adjust to diagnosis, and learn valuable self-management, self-reliance, and self-advocacy skills. These are the stories of people with Parkinson’s and their carepartners who have benefitted from attending their local support group in Maple Ridge.
