This September, family, friends, and co-workers will come together for Parkinson SuperWalk in over 20 communities across British Columbia to raise awareness and funds for over 13,300 people living with Parkinson’s disease. The event, marking its 21st anniversary in BC, will take place on September 10 at Waterfront Park in Kelowna. Organized by Parkinson Society British Columbia (PSBC), which relies solely on donations, the walk supports crucial programs and services, including Parkinson’s-specific exercise programs and educational sessions. Participants like Garry Toop, who has lived with Parkinson’s for 10 years, continue to inspire hope and contribute to the cause.
