Parkinson’s disease can impact emotional well-being through both motor and non-motor symptoms. Caregivers also face unique stressors that can affect their mental health. Mindfulness practice offers tools to build self-awareness and manage stress effectively.
This is a six-week online program designed for individuals living with or affected by Parkinson’s. Through guided mindfulness sessions and group discussions, participants will:
Facilitator: Sara Ahmadian
Sara Ahmadian is a registered counsellor with Search Light Counselling who specializes in supporting individuals living with chronic illness. With a compassionate approach, Sara integrates evidence-based therapeutic techniques and mindfulness practices to help clients manage anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges commonly associated with Parkinson’s. Her work focuses on empowering individuals to build emotional resilience and develop practical tools for improving mental well-being. Drawing on her expertise, Sara provides thoughtful guidance on how mindfulness can support day-to-day coping and foster a greater sense of balance and peace.
