Join us for our first-ever virtual communication and swallow workshop, led by registered speech-language pathologist Jasmine Cload. This session will focus on the communication and swallowing challenges commonly experienced by people with Parkinson’s disease.
We’re offering this workshop as part of our ongoing commitment to better serve remote and rural communities across British Columbia, where access to specialized programs like this is often limited.
Open to individuals currently experiencing these challenges, as well as those looking to address them proactively, this workshop incorporates clinically proven methods from Lee Silverman Voice Treatment® (LSVT) – a research-based approach shown to improve communication for people with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions.
Whether you’re currently facing communication or swallowing issues or simply planning ahead, this session can help reduce stress, frustration, and the risk of future complications. Participants will gain tools to address concerns such as:
Capacity is limited, so we encourage early registration to secure your spot. After registering, you’ll receive a brief questionnaire via email that must be completed before the workshop.
