In March of 2017, Vancouverites Paul Gully and Lois Leslie departed for Europe on a cycling trip called Shifting Gears for Parkinson's. Their intent was to fundraise and raise awareness for Parkinson's disease in honour of their friend, Margaret deGrace, who lives with the condition. Unfortunately, the trip was temporarily put on hold in May following a serious collision between Paul and a motor vehicle.

This October, Paul and Lois are resuming their trip. Since Paul is still recuperating from his injuries, the couple will walk, take trains and buses. They do hope to resume cycling once they reach Australia.

You can support their cause by donating or leaving a message on the Shifting Gears for Parkinson's Champions page or stay up to date on their latest adventures by reading their blog: http://cycling.loisandpaul.com
